I attained the callsign LB2ME back in April 1993, so it's has been a while now. At that time, it was a B class licence with limited rights (and I attained the A class licence the year after, having all rights). However, since Norway no longer separate between ham radio classes, I chose to get my LB2ME callsign back. Actually, Norway now uses LB to issue new ham radio callsigns, so it's trendy :)

I have made some QSOs with the callsign and will be happy to serve you a QSL card if needed. Please request it through the website.

I was born in 1976 in Harstad (north), and now lives in Birkeland in the southern-most part of Norway. I have a wife and three children. I work as an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the University of Agder.

I love web programming and has written a book that is used in Norwegian classes. I have also made this website myself.

My radio is an Icom IC-7300MK2, purchased in 2026. It's a modern HF/50 MHz transceiver with advanced SDR technology, offering excellent performance, clear audio, and an intuitive touchscreen interface.

My antenna is a HyEndFed 3 Band Black Clamp MK3, a multiband end-fed wire antenna designed for the 10, 20, and 40-meter amateur radio bands. It provides a practical and efficient solution for operating on multiple HF bands.
